Community Update: 12-19-2025
NCS Community,
While the holiday season can be a busy one, I hope that each of you are finding time to find peace, joy, and happiness during the month of December. Each and every day, I continue to be impressed by the outstanding accomplishments of our students which of course are a result of the support and guidance our families and staff provide daily. As we close the chapter on 2025, we have much to look forward to in the New Year. A few updates as we approach the holiday break:
Last week, a group of twenty teachers, clerical staff, students, parents, and administrators took part in committee interviews for the NCS HS principal position. The committee spent an hour with four candidates and identified two finalists who will move forward in the process. These finalists will present to the entire HS faculty in early January, and it is our hope to identify the selected candidate shortly thereafter. I cannot thank our committee enough for the focus, insights, and dedication to this important process. I believe we have two strong finalists to present to our faculty and have confidence we will continue to build upon the excellent leadership of Nicole Green.
Our winter choral and instrumental concerts are always a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season and this year was no exception. Kudos to our students and staff for these wonderful performances. Our staff and students across both buildings have also been taking part in many festive activities that spread the joy of the season. At last week’s Board of Education meeting, a number of our Operation Santa volunteers shared their experiences with this project. These individuals, along with Naples Rotary, truly demonstrate the ideals of the season and we are incredibly proud of the impact this long-standing program has on the NCS community.
I also wanted to acknowledge Naples junior swimmer Owen Rademacker who has had an impressive start to his swim season, setting records in the 200m freestyle, 200n medley, and 500m freestyle. In addition to setting numerous pool and state records, Owen has also met several state meet qualifying times. Congratulations Owen!
On behalf of everyone at NCS, I wish our community a happy holiday season and all the best in 2026. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
