NCS Community:
First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank the teachers, staff, students, and community members of Naples who have welcomed me in such a warm way over the past few weeks. While I have long heard of the many attributes of the Naples community, I have now seen and felt firsthand the many
reasons why the Naples community is truly a wonderful place to work and live. I look forward to the opportunity to partner and collaborate with all school and community stakeholders moving forward to assist the school district in attaining its mission for our students.
To that end, I will be spending considerable time over the next few months conducting entry interviews with a variety of stakeholder groups. While these conversations will assuredly provide an authentic opportunity to meet key members of the school community, it is also my hope that they will allow me to
better understand the following:
-What are the greatest strengths/points of pride of NCSD?
-What may be some areas of focus, growth, or improvement?
-What are your expectations of me as your superintendent?
-What are your future hopes/dreams for NCSD?
I believe this feedback, from various perspectives, can lead to purposeful goal setting moving forward and I will certainly share the information gleaned from this work with the school and community later this year. In the meantime, I look forward to connecting at both school wide and community events and I wish everyone all the best as we transition to 2022.
