Three NCS Teachers Participate in NYS Master Teacher Program

The New York State Master Teacher Program’s initiative is to strengthen STEM programming across all school districts, for all of our students, to better prepare our kids for the world they will inherit.  This program is predicated upon teachers learning from one another as to the most effective ways to engage students in the STEM curriculum.

Four years ago, NCS teachers Jon Betrus and Adam Robinson were selected to participate in the program and since then have completed over 50 hours of professional development through the program.  Jon and Adam will complete the program this spring and should be commended for their commitment to growth mindset and life-long learning.  Without a doubt, this work has and will continue to serve NCS students and staff exceptionally well.

Recently, NCS teacher Patrick Freivald was also accepted into the NYS Master Teacher Program.  Congratulations to Patrick on this notable accomplishment and of course we are thrilled that another NCS staff member has made the commitment to extend their learning to better support our students and colleagues.  He will begin his participation in the program later this month.  We wish Patrick all the best as he begins his NYS Master Teacher Program journey.
