Athletic Hall of Fame


The NCS Athletic Hall of Fame was created to facilitate the process of identifying, nominating, selecting, and recognizing the significant athletic achievements of individuals who are affiliated with the Naples Central School District. Nominees need not have attended or graduated from the Naples Central School District so as long as their athletic achievements have impacted the Naples Central School District, or its residents, in a positive manner.  Listed below are the guidelines for gaining admission to the NCS Athletic Hall of Fame.

 

1.)  Any candidate who is to be considered for recognition must be nominated by a resident of the Naples Central School District via completion of the NCS Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination Form (Located at the bottom of this page).  This completed form shall be submitted to the Naples District Office by no later than May 1st of the school year of desired admittance.

 

2.)  All nominees will be evaluated and chosen for admittance by the NCS Athletic Hall of Fame Selection Committee.  This committee will consist of at least 1 Administrator, 2 NCS Staff Members (1 from the Elementary School and 1 from the High School), 2 Non-Staff NCS Community Members and 1 NCS Student. 

 

3.)  Nominees will be evaluated on core traits based on their character and their significant athletic contributions to NCS or Society.  After an extensive review of all nominees by the NCS Athletic Hall of Fame Selection Committee, inductees will be chosen and notified by May 1st of the school year of desired admittance.

 

4.)  Each inductee will be honored at the Homecoming game of the school year of desired admittance. Inductees will also be recognized on our school website as well as receive a portrait or plaque for display in our entrance hallway.
