NCS to Practice Emergency Go Home Drill on November 1, 2017

Emergency Go Home Drill Scheduled for November 1, 2017

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017, the entire Naples Central School District will practice a mandated Emergency Go Home Drill.  All students will go to designated locations prior to dismissal. Students will be dismissed approximately 10-15 minutes early to be bused home.  For parents/guardians planning on picking their child up at school, we ask that you plan to pick your child up from the Jr./Sr. High School bus loop at 2:30 p.m. There will be staff members directing traffic as well as Safety Team members supervising the area, and they will guide parents/guardians to the bus loop at the conclusion of the drill.  As in any emergency situation, please do not attempt to pick up your child before the official dismissal time.  Please note that there will be no late buses on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

We understand that the immediate reaction of students during an emergency would be to use their cell phones to call parents or other friends.  Please be advised that we are stating that students are not to use their cell phones for any reason during the practice drill.  We are also requesting that students remain quiet during the practice drill process to hear directions given by supervisors.

Keeping students safe is our first priority here in the Naples Central School District, and it is imperative that we take the time to practice Emergency Go Home Drills on a regular basis. We appreciate your support and cooperation, and ask that you contact us with any questions or concerns.
