Naples School Association (NSA)

What is the NSA?

It is a small group of parents and staff who dedicate their time and talents to an organization called the Naples School Association ,or NSA.  This was formerly known as the Parent Teacher Association, or PTA.  The NSA is responsible for enriching the lives of the students at Naples Central School by providing opportunities for family and community involvement through the school.

Through various fundraising events we are able to help with many different school based events including:

Academic Awards
Sixth Grade Fun Night
Teacher and Staff Appreciation
Operation Santa
School Reading Program
Valedictorian/Salutatorian Plaques
Family Fun Nights
Ice Cream Social
Hiking Club
Yearbook Club

We are making great efforts to do what we can to help with the expense of field trips, as this expense has been removed from the budget.  We want the students to have the opportunity to take advantage of what is offered to them and our group is dedicated to doing what we can to make that happen.

Our ongoing fundraising efforts include:

Box Tops for Education – This is a really easy way to help out.  Each label is worth 10¢.  These can be found on many items (click on the link below to see a list of all of the products).  Here are just a few… Betty Crocker, Nestle, many cereals, Green Giant, Pillsbury, Progresso, Old El Paso, Green Giant, Hefty, Huggies, Scott, and the list goes on.  There are many drop off boxes available throughout the community including Five-Star Bank, Rennoldson’s Market, the library, and both school offices.

Labels for Education – Again, this is an easy way to help out.  The labels can be found on many products now, not just Campbell’s.  They can also be found on Pepperidge Farm, Swanson, Spaghetti-Os, V-8, Wolfgang Puck, BIC, and Pop Secret.

We also receive donations from the community from groups, such as The Naples Rotary and the Naples Teachers Association, as well as private individuals.  We are very grateful to all of our supporters.

Family Fun Nights… we are in need of someone who would be interested in coming up with an idea for a family fun night and running it.  The NSA will provide the funding, arrange for the space, and do the advertising!!  Contact Tammy Brace at 797-9654 if you are interested!!

Meetings:
Anyone is welcome to attend.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Beth Larter at (405) 595-9160.
