NCS Board of Education Adopts Spending Plan

At its April 12, 2017 meeting, the Naples Board of Education reviewed and adopted a proposed spending plan for the upcoming school year that aims to balance the district’s values and priorities with available resources.

The budget proposal totaling $19.9 million represents a 0.93 percent increase in spending that would result in an estimated tax levy and rate increase of 1.93 percent for district residents—the district’s maximum allowable tax levy limit as calculated under the state’s “tax cap” guidelines.
