Senior Earns Seal of Biliteracy Award

The Naples Central School District is proud to announce that Gianna Vest has earned the prestigious Seal of Biliteracy award. The distinction originated in California in 2012 and was adopted by the New York State Department of Education and Board of Regents in 2016. Recognizing the value of diversity and world languages in a globally connected world, the distinction can be earned by students who demonstrate excellence in multiple languages.

Acknowledging the high levels of achievement required in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, Department Chair Analisa Chapman commented that “NCS would like to commend Gianna for all of the hard work, energy, and passion she put into earning the award.” Echoing the sentiment, Principal Green went on to say that the opportunity “would not have been possible without Senora Chapman’s leadership,” and that it was a “true testament to the dedication of the LOTE Department.”

¡Felicitaciones, Gianna!
