New Faces in Naples!

Dear Naples School Community:

There is a saying that "the quality of an education system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers." For generations, Naples has been blessed with a world-class faculty and staff, and that tradition continues as we welcome a new group of dynamic educators to NCS.

As we prepare for the start of the 2018-2019 school year, I wanted to introduce many of the new faces you will see in our buildings by passing along information through our website and social media accounts. We are thrilled that Ms. Hanna Fox will be joining our school family, and I would invite you to help us welcome her to Naples this fall.

Hope to see you soon.

Matt Frahm, Superintendent

Name: Ms. Hanna Fox

1.     Why did you decide to apply/accept the job in the Naples Central School District?
I decided to accept the job at Naples because of the warmth I felt every time I walked into the building. Naples created a sense of community where I felt like I belonged.

2.     What do you like the most about your job?
The thing I like most about my job are the relationships I build with my students and coworkers. That is what makes the job fun!

3.     What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to go on hikes, read, cook, dance and participate in community theatre shows!

4.     What types of books/magazines would we see on your bookshelf?
If you were to look at my bookshelf you would find a combination of the newest young adult books, realistic fiction and cookbooks.

5.     What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but rather the lighting of a fire.” -William Butler Yeats

6.     What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is definitely cheesecake.

7.     Tell us a little about your family.
I am the oldest of three; I have a younger brother who is a freshman in college and a younger sister who is a sophomore in high school. I also have a dog named Stella, who is like my third sibling. My family loves to hang out together! We go on vacation, swim, ski, and sometimes play cards after dinner!

8.     If you were to leave a legacy here in Naples-what would it be?
If I were to leave a legacy at Naples, I would hope that it would be that students understand the importance of having a growth mindset and persevere through a challenge.

9.     Any additional information you would like to share:
I love anything related to reading, outdoor activities or cooking. I’m so excited to get to know everyone and make Naples my new home away from home!
