COVID-19 Federal Funding

Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA)

Naples CSD is allocated $676,868 in CRRSA funds.  20% of these funds ($135,374) must be used to address learning loss.  While these funds can not be used to reduce the yearly budget, the remaining $541,494 in funding may be used to address social-emotional health and wellness, purchase educational technology, provide mental health services supports, and provide summer learning and after-school programs.

American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, 2021 (ARP-ESSER)

Naples CSD is allocated $1,521,250 in ARP-ESSER funds.  These funds are designed to support the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services, addressing the impact of lost instructional time through the implementation of evidence-based interventions, such as summer learning or summer enrichment, extended day, comprehensive aftershool programs, or extended school year programs.  Districts are required to ensure that such interventions respond to students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
