COVID Case at NCS

Dear NCS Families and Staff,

Earlier today, we were notified by Steuben County that a staff member in our Transportation Department tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last at work on Tuesday, February 16, and they are currently in isolation in alignment with Department of Health guidelines.

As soon as we learned of the situation, we immediately began the contact tracing process using our camera system and employee interviews. Ultimately, the decision was made to quarantine three additional staff members as a precautionary measure.

With the start of March on the horizon, I want to emphasize that our safety protocols are helping to keep our school community safe. In the days and weeks ahead, I would encourage everyone to continue masking, distancing, practicing good hand hygiene, and contacting a medical professional if they are feeling under the weather.
